Job Title: IT Cloud Engineer
Location and Work Pattern: Hybrid working, 2 Days in the office
Salary: Up to £70k DOE
Connect IT has partnered with a charitable housing association who are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to manage IT Technical projects and undertake hands-on engineering work for their experienced and dynamic engineering team.
Responsibilities
•Oversee and actively participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms for a complex corporate data and voice infrastructure.
•Provide expert technical guidance to the Cloud Platform team and ITT Cloud Platform Manager to address any technical issues that arise.
•Contribute to infrastructure systems through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation, and provide strategic advice on infrastructure planning.
•Engage in hands-on development and engineering for both on-premises and cloud platforms, including existing and new ITT systems and services.
•Manage IT technical projects from initiation to post-live support, and undertake engineering work as required by Projects, Project Managers, and ITT Cloud Platform Manager.
•Contribute to infrastructure planning through the use of IaC and automation, and identify and address future capacity or performance issues before they impact IT systems and services.
•Develop and maintain technical designs, planning documents, progress reports, and test scripts, and create service transition plans for projects.
•Participate in periodic Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity tests, ensure regular backups are taken, and accurately record all Incidents/Problems in the Service Management system.
•Understand Network Homes' strategic vision and ensure that all work is oriented towards supporting it.
•Be proactive in creating innovative solutions for new or existing requirements.
Required Skills
•5+ Years experience in a similar role
•Azure
•Kubernetes
•DevOps Tooling (Terraform, Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
•Automation and exposure to scripting
•IP Network experience specifically Cisco Switches
•Azure Virtual Desktop
•SQL Server Administration
•Proven powershell skills
•Agile Methodology awareness
