Job Title: Project Design and Implementation Engineer

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE

Location: Office based with visits to client sites across the M3 corridor from Bournemouth to London. Occasional remote working when appropriate

Average Work Pattern: 3 days office based / 2 days on a client site a week. No overnight stays

Connect IT has partnered with a leading technology organisation who are looking to add a hard working, energetic project engineer to their well established and experienced team.

The Role:

·Be part of a cross-functional team that analyzes, designs, and implements architecture of projects in order to meet solution needs

·Analyzing new and existing architectures, research solutions, specifiying long term direction, and ensuring engineering platforms meet reliability expectations to enhance customer satisfaction.

·Designing overall system and solution architecture, system integration, and implementation strategy to deliver an integrated solution which meets customer needs.

·Communicating the system integration vision and strategy during meetings and presentations to appropriate parties.

·Generating conceptual, logical, and physical architectures, system documents, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture to meet client needs.

·Serving as a technical expert for clients in system architectures to eliminate gaps and inconsistencies in the initial and new system architectures. Ensuring the technical component of the solution aligns with the client's business goals and current/potential standards.

·Researching technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards.

What we need from you:

·Previous and proven industry experience in pre/post-sales or engineering/architecture rolesand be able to demonstrate at an interview a proven track record of skills, experiences and success in these areas.

·Have a working understanding of Prince2 and ITIL and possess a good standard of skills inMicrosoft PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Word.

·Demonstrate excellent vendor and marketplace knowledge and hold relevant accreditationsand contacts.

·Customer facing, must have excellent communication and presentation skills regardless of theaudience and be able to steer customer and partner thinking and influence technologydecisions at the highest level.

·Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

·Strong, demonstrable background in designing solutions within the Microsoft 365 Cloud stack

·2+ years in technical design and delivery of projects

·Proven technical ability working for an MSP, through relevant, demonstrable,technical qualifications/experience

·Willingness to travel and have full UK driving license, required to other company sites for the purpose of onsite project delivery and service support

·Skilled in handling Azure, AWS or Openstack infrastructure

Desirable

·PRINCE2 qualification

·High Standard of organisation and technical solution delivery

·Past experience using helpdesk applications

·ITIL Certified

·MCSE (or relevant Microsoft certifications)
