Job Title: PHP Developer
Salary: £35-40k Dependant on Experience
Working Pattern: 3 days a week WFH, 2 days a week in the office
Location: Bedford
A partnership between Connect IT Recruitment and a leading digital products provider has resulted in an opportunity for a motivated and diligent PHP developer to join their skilled and dynamic development team.
Responsibilities
·Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define product stories.
·Support product owners in developing roadmaps.
·Develop APIs and integrate them with other systems.
·Attend client meetings as necessary to gather requirements, make recommendations, and demonstrate functionality.
·Recommend appropriate software architectures and technical solutions, including new technologies.
·Implement industry-standard best practices such as automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated deployments, and infrastructure as code.
·Work with the existing agile scrum team to design and implement back-end technical solutions using a scrum model.
Required:
Previous experience working in a Digital Agency or SaaS environment
Extensive experience of PHP including a modern-day PHP framework, such as Laravel
Extensive working knowledge of MySQL and ability to write custom SQL queries
Version/Source control using GIT
Strong experience working with design patterns including MVC
Unit testing and test-driven development
Security focussed development (CRSF, XSS, SQL Injection etc) and Pen testing experience
Refactoring and redesigning of legacy code bases to modern standards
Experience working with ISO 9001:2015 & 27001
Extensive use of Microsoft Office 365
Experience working with 3rd party APIs and integrating them into existing systems
