AI Engineer
Salary: Up to £50,000 Depending on experience
Location: Wimborne, Dorset – Hybrid Working
Connect IT has partnered with an exciting and diverse client that focuses on delivering forward-thinking technologies for the healthcare, biotech, and food and beverage industries.
We have an exciting position available for the right candidate to support the Research & Development Engineering team mainly facilitating the research, design and deployment of new machine learning and artificial intelligence models, to embed within the current and future product portfolio.
The Role
Assisting in championing the infrastructure roadmap for upcoming projects
Researching, designing and deploying new machine-learning models
Planning and managing benchmarking tests for new machine-learning models
Managing AI-model codebases from research to production level
Communicating results of the research and tests to the wider the R&D team
Implementing state-of-the-art computer vision models and evaluating performance with real-time key business objectives, introducing research prototypes and features into our clients’ portfolio of market-leading instruments
Requirements
Passion for Biology focused AI / Computer Vision
Experience developing and delivering robust software solutions, including advanced programming expertise in Python
Experience with any of the major deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow) including familiarity with ONNX
Demonstrable industry experience in delivering computer vision-based AI projects
Strong software engineering practices such as familiarity with Git, DevOps
Knowledge of the biotech industry with a focus on cell development practices.
