IT Service Desk Technician

Location: Bournemouth

Working Pattern: Office Based with Occasional Site visits

Salary: £24-30k Dependant on Experience

Connect IT Recruitment has partnered with a leading IT Helpdesk Team based in Bournemouth and is looking to reinforce its established and experienced dream team of IT Service Desk Technicians. Joining a small but tight-knit team, the right candidate for this role will need to bring their existing expertise, the right attitude, and a willingness to learn to the table, be comfortable managing customers on the phone, over video and where applicable onsite/in person.

Responsibilities:

•Collaborate with clients and third parties to facilitate system setups and remote/on-site issue resolution.

•Monitor and upkeep computer systems and networks to ensure optimal functionality.

•Provide support for Microsoft 365, including Azure AD and Intune.

•Regularly update customer documentation and process guides as needed.

•Establish positive working relationships with clients and colleagues promptly.

•Deliver efficient IT support to clients both onsite and remotely.

•Communicate consistently with customers, providing updates throughout the lifespan of any issue or request.

•Assist in the implementation of new applications and operating systems.

•Install and set up client laptops, desktops, and servers, ensuring proper configuration.

•Identify and resolve hardware or software issues by troubleshooting system and network problems.

•Ensure accurate categorisation and raising of support tickets.

Required:

•Commercial experience working with Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server 2012-2022, Active Directory, and Windows 10/11

•Possession of a full driving license.

•Over 2 years of experience in a technical service desk role or IT department.

Desirable:

•Proficiency in TCP/IP networking

•Experience with routing, VLANs, VPNs, and Wireless technologies.

•Familiarity with VoIP telephony systems.

•Robust knowledge of Server and Workstation systems

•Experience with Automation and scripting using PowerShell

•Firewall and Network Security Technologies experience

•Hyper-V, VMWare, SAN, and NAS technologies
